7 Tips for a Quick Face Painting Set -up

Published by Craft-n-Go on Apr 4th 2024

When it comes to face painting, setting up a work area can be daunting and take up a lot of your time. If you're struggling with a setup that takes longer than you'd like, here are 7 tips to help you speed up the process. With these tips, you can make your setup time shorter and more manageable, allowing you to focus on the fun part - painting!

1. Be Portable.

Craft-n-Go cases are designed specifically for traveling with your supplies. The portability of a  Craft-n-Go Case makes it easy to travel with your supplies. It is perfect for any venue because you can work directly out of the case. There's no need for a wagon to haul your supplies when you have a Craft-n-Go case; you can wheel it wherever you go.

2. Make a Mark.

Mark the legs of your case with a permanent marker. Rather than always having to guess or finagle with the height you prefer of your case, take a permanent marker and draw a line on the legs. Now you'll always know what height to set your legs at once you arrive at your event.

3. Embrace the Metal Surfaces.

Use a strong magnet (or a couple) to keep supplies in place when on the go. By utilizing the metal surfaces and magnets glued to your supplies, everything is ready to go when you arrive at your event and open your case. If you are finding that your supplies continue to shift during travel, consider adding another magnet to the back for a stronger hold.

4. Organization is Key.

Having a designated spot for each item in your case helps make a quick setup. When everything is neatly organized and has a place to belong, you will know exactly where it goes and will not have to think twice about it.

5. Stay Hydrated.

Keep a sealed water bottle in your case or backpack. When you arrive at your event, you can pour water into your container to clean your brushes. That way, you can focus on setting up without searching for water.

6. Keep Things Simple.

Avoid trying to store too many things in your case. Space is valuable in the Craft-n-Go cases, especially in the Mini. Keep seasonal items or items you do not use at home.

7. Repot It (not your plants).

Use the Accessory Half Tray to repot your solid paints into one container instead of having lots of small containers. The Accessory Half Tray keeps things condensed and easy to set up. You can even add a cover to your half trays.

Setting up your kit can be time-consuming and frustrating, but it doesn't have to be that way. From adding magnets to the back of supplies to bringing along a water bottle in your case, there are several steps you can take to speed up the process of setting up your kit. When you plan ahead and keep your paints and supplies organized, setting up your face-painting kit will be faster than ever with the Craft-n-Go.
